Dean N. Nazem, D.D.S., Ph.D.

Dr. Nazem graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry in 1994. Following dental school, he completed a comprehensive residency program at DC General hospital. This residency has given him an in-depth training in general dentistry, such as crown and bridges, root canal therapy, full and partial dentures, gum treatment, and oral surgery (including operating room cases.) Also, he has been exposed to hospital dentistry, treating medically compromised patients. On-call experience at the hospital has provided him with the ability to treat a variety of dental emergencies, ranging from a minor dental trauma to diagnosis of fractures of mandible and pre- maxilla. He attends numerous continuing education courses around the country every year to stay not only up-to-date, but proficient with the latest advances in general dentisry. Dr. Nazem has been a faculty member at The Howard University College of Dentistry for more than a decade. He is also a consultant to the Northeast Regional Board of Dentisry. Prior to receiving his D.D.S., he attended University of Oklahoma where he received his Ph.D. in Communication.
